The Cochrane Pregnancy Care Centre’s annual Baby Bottle Campaign is now underway, offering a fun and simple way for families, businesses, and local organizations to support vital programs for women and families in the community.

Running from Mother’s Day (May 11) to Father’s Day (June 15), the campaign encourages people to fill baby bottles with spare change, cash, or cheques, all in support of services such as parenting education, pregnancy support, and post-abortion care.

“This is a fun way for kids and families to get involved,” said Susan Campbell, Executive Director of the Cochrane Pregnancy Care Centre. “People can take a bottle, fill it over a few weeks with whatever they like, change, bills, even a cheque, and bring it back to us. Some prefer to just donate online or write a cheque, and that’s great too.”

Bottles are available through participating churches and businesses, or by contacting the Centre directly. Campbell says there’s also a bit of friendly competition encouraged this year.

“We’re seeing if some schools or businesses want to challenge each other,” she said. “It’s a great way to raise awareness and support the cause while having a little fun.”

According to the Centre, it costs about $500 to offer critical support services to one client, and every filled bottle, each worth around $30 on average, makes a difference.
