Mitford Park pulsed with energy on Saturday, May 31, as the Bow Valley Rugby Club celebrated its annual Club Day in vibrant style.
From the first whistle at 10 a.m., the field came alive with the thunder of cleats and the cheers of spectators, as players of all ages—from the tiniest U5s to seasoned adults—took to the pitch with pride.
Regular season and exhibition matches, along with lively scrimmages, carried the excitement late into the afternoon. Cheers echoed through the park, stories and laughs were shared while nearby, the smell of barbecue filled the air and a food truck kept appetites satisfied. A bustling tent offered club merchandise and a last chance to purchase raffle tickets for the club's giant draw that day.
BVRC president Anthony Battistone said the event was met with enthusiasm from across the rugby community, as supporters old and new came together to celebrate the camaraderie, joy, and deep love of the game that define Club Day each year.
