The Saskatchewan NDP led by Carla Beck announced changes to the Shadow Cabinet on Tuesday, with Associate Ministers named in healthcare, education and public safety.

Deputy Minister Vicki Mowat will add responsibilities in community outreach, public speaking and communications.

“I am so thrilled to continue expanding the work of our team — this really is a government-in-waiting,” Beck said in a release. “We will put even more focus on critical issues and building a plan that is focused on the future of Saskatchewan, one filled with good-paying jobs, healthcare that’s available when and where people need it, quality public education and safer communities.”

“We hear every day from people in this province who are tired after 18 years of Sask. Party failures. Our message to them is you don’t have to settle for this, you can demand a government that’s focused on you and your family.”

Mowat added, “I intend to travel to every corner of this province to talk to people about their priorities for the future of this incredible place we call home.

“I am so thrilled to work directly with the next Premier of our province in Carla Beck and to take on new responsibilities as a member of her team. We truly are focused on building a bright future for every Saskatchewan person.”
