The voting period for the merger of Conexus, Cornerstone, and Synergy credit unions is now underway. The voting period began yesterday evening at 6:30 following a Special Member's meeting, and will run until Friday, June 13 at 12 p.m.
During the voting period, the approximately 200,000 members of the three credit unions can cast their ballots online or at any of their credit union's branches across the province.
Online voting can be done by visiting one of the credit union's respective webpages, either Conexus, Cornerstone, or Synergy, depending on the voter's bank of choice.
Conexus members can also vote directly through their online banking account.
It was announced in an official credit union news release that if the merger proceeds, the combined credit union would be the largest in Saskatchewan, and one of the largest in the nation, managing $15 billion in assets through a combined 57 branch locations across 50 communities.
If approved by members and regulators, the newly combined credit union would launch on January 1, 2026. More information can be found on thrivingtogethersk.ca
