A six-game home stand starts tonight for the Swift Current 57's.

They host Lethbridge as the 57's look for their first win of the WCBL season.

"I think it'll be a dog fight," said Swift Current Head Coach Ruddy Estrella. "We're in the same boat us and Lethbridge. I think it's going to be a dog fight, and whoever plays the best will be the winner."

The 57's are still searching for their first win after starting the season 0-5.

"Gotta score first," Estrella said. "We're steps away from getting our first W. I believe scoring first is one of them. Also, we've got to limit big run innings."

He has been impressed so far this season with the performance of Willmer Henqieuz, who leads the team with 3 home runs and 6 RBIs.

"High caliber player," Estrella said. "Power guy. He's a versatile player who can play anywhere in the infield. He's a big team guy."

It's also Pack the Park night, as proceeds from the game go to the Southwest Facility Foundation.

"Hoping we have a great crowd there tonight to cheer on the 57's," said Swift Current City Councillor Ryan Switzer. "People who go to the game are going to have a chance to win some really cool prizes and proceeds from the game help out the Southwest Facility Foundation and the quest for those much-needed recreation facilities."

The 50/50 starts at $1000 thanks to Optical Image, there is free admission for minor ball players wearing their jerseys, and the prizes include a smoker, pit vipers, and ball gear.

First pitch is 7:05 PM tonight.
