Sometimes that first win is the hardest one to get.

The Swift Current 57's had the lead through most of the game on Wednesday night but fell 3-2 to the Lethbridge Bulls at Mitchell Field.

The loss dropped Swift Current to 0-6 for the WCBL season.

Muenster's Adam Korte had a strong outing on the mound for the 57's.

He went 7 strong innings allowing 6 hits and only 1 earned run with 3 strikeouts and no walks.

Swift Current took an early lead in the bottom of the 1st inning as Wilmer Henriquez launched his team leading 4th home run.

Lethbridge tied the game in the top of the 2nd inning, but Silas Hilton scored on an error to put the 57's back ahead in the bottom of the 3rd.

Swift Current held that lead until the Bulls were able to tie the game in the top of the 7th when Lethbridge's Brennan McTavish scored on a 57's error.

JC Spinosa then drove in Luke Wheatley to put the Bulls ahead in the top of the 9th inning.

The win moves Lethbridge to 2-3 on the season.

Wednesday's game was the start of a 6 game homestand for the 57's. They host the 3-2 Regina Red Sox on Thursday night.

The game against Lethbridge was also Pack the Park night raising funds for the Southwest Facility Foundation.
