Today, the Golden Garbage Can competition is looking to see whether Estevan or Weyburn is the cleanest city in the southeast.
With the last competition over a decade ago, both cities have made efforts to make sure their jurisdictions are as clean as possible.
The competition begins with judges going through Estevan from 9:30 to 11 a.m., with subsequent judging in Weyburn set for 1 to 2:30 p.m. The final crowning of the Golden Garbage Can winner will be at the Weyburn City Hall, tentatively set for 3:30 p.m.
Judges were called from both Estevan and Weyburn to objectively measure each community.:

The judges are looking at the event through a series of factors, being judged with scores ranging from 1 (needs work) to 5 (outstanding).
