WILKIE, Sask. — RCMP in Wilkie are investigating several incidents reported between June 4 and June 9, including a theft and multiple assault-related matters.

Police say a 41-year-old woman from Wilkie has been charged with assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest after officers responded to an assault complaint. A separate investigation into a theft remains ongoing.

RCMP also conducted a wellbeing check at the request of an employer and mediated a dispute between a landlord and tenant.

Emergency Medical Services requested assistance from members during a call involving a patient. In a separate incident, police responded to a collision between a vehicle and a deer. No injuries were reported.

CN Police also flagged a blocked railway crossing caused by a stationary train. The incident was noted for information purposes.

One traffic complaint was logged during the reporting period.

Anyone with information about crimes in the Unity, Wilkie or Macklin areas is asked to contact their local RCMP detachment.
