A donation from a community business is helping the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation's MRI project get closer to becoming a reality. Estevan Motors Ltd. gave $50,000 in a single donation, helping out the fundraiser greatly.

Dustin Sands, partner and general manager, says making that donation goes a long way to helping out Estevan

"It's just nice to have something like that locally, so it would just benefit the community and the surrounding community, I guess as well. So we just thought it was the right thing to contribute to."

Sands says that having an MRI machine in Estevan helps out greatly in case of an emergency or in other healthcare situations.

"Everybody here is in good health fortunately, so yeah, we really no need here, but we all have family members that need stuff done and it's that trip to Regina that's always a nuisance and so, eventually if we do need something like that, it's nice to have it locally and you can get it done quick."

Sands says the whole project is great for the community, and they're lucky to see plenty of people in the community stepping up to make it happen.
