With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John Chisholm, age 67, on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Swift Current, SK.

John Charles Chisholm was born on June 11, 1957 at Regina, SK to Denis & Edith Chisholm. John was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend who lived a life rooted in family, service, and music. After graduating from Martin Collegiate in 1975 John enrolled in the Saskatchewan Police College at the University of Regina. He began his career in law enforcement with the Regina Police Service until 1980. He continued his career serving as a town Constable in Oxbow and Luseland, and as a railway Constable with Canadian Pacific Limited at the Regina Terminal. John's dedication to public safety also led him to work as a Security Officer for the Regina Exhibition Association.

In 1982, John changed paths and became an X-ray technician, serving nearly 30 years with the Cypress Health Region in Swift Current. Known for his compassion and dedication, he was deeply respected by both patients and colleagues.

John had a lifelong love of music and played trumpet in the Regina Police Boys Band. In addition, his musical talent led to playing with the Regina Symphony Orchestra for three seasons. John received many music scholarships and awards over the years.

An active man, John enjoyed jogging, walking with the family dog, and swimming — even taking on open water swims across Last Mountain and Candle Lakes.

John was predeceased by his parents, Denis & Edith Chisholm; a sister, Margaret Brown; and by brothers-in-law, Dennis Draper, Bruce Brown and Leonard Mucha. He is survived by his devoted wife, Donna; his children, Meghan and Jonathan (Kaylyn); his sisters, Carol Draper, Linda Jablonski, and Elizabeth Annand; and by sisters-in-law, Deborah Jackson (Calvin Jackson) and Dorit Frank (Ed Frank) and their families.

John will be dearly missed but will forever remain in our hearts.
