Alberta’s own Jennie Harluk is bringing her voice, her stories and her full band to the Bow Valley Boot Stomp on Saturday, July 19.
“This one’s extra special,” says Harluk. “I’m from just outside of Cochrane, so playing this festival in front of a hometown crowd means a lot.”
Her set at Boot Stomp will include never-before-heard tracks and a taste of her evolving sound. While there’s no album planned just yet, new singles are on the way.
“We’re working in the single lane for now, but you can definitely expect new music this year,” says Harluk. “It’s a little different than my older stuff, and I’m really excited about it.”

Fresh off a trip to Nashville, Harluk says the southern city has inspired her writing, but Alberta is still home.
“Calgary and Nashville are actually a lot alike. Both feel like big small towns with a deep love for country music,” she says. “I feel lucky to be bouncing between the two.”
Fans can catch Harluk on stages all across Alberta this summer, with stops in High River, Edmonton and more.
“I’m expanding a little outside the Calgary area this year,” she says. “It’s been amazing to meet new crowds and share these songs in new places.”
From big festivals to intimate venues, Harluk is making the most of every chance to connect through music.
“If you like what you hear at Boot Stomp, come see me again,” says Harluk. “There’s a lot more music to come.”
Bow Valley Boot Stomp takes place on July 18 & 19 in Cochrane.
