Thanks to the G7 Leaders' Summit, Cochrane-area residents have been treated to quite an air show.
It’s all part of the massive temporary security measures in place for the three-day gathering, which wraps up June 17.
As with the G8 Summit in 2002, a Canadian Armed Forces ground-based radar has been positioned on the Big Hill overlooking the community. The radar is clearly visible during the day and illuminated by security lighting at night. The site is fenced off to restrict unauthorized access.
