As G7 leaders begin departing Canada, the Integrated Safety and Security Group (ISSG) advises residents in the Calgary area that a visible security presence will remain in place over the coming days.
The ISSG says demobilization efforts are now underway, including the removal of police vehicles, dismantling of security infrastructure, and environmental remediation at key sites used during the summit.
Motorcade movements and increased traffic are expected around Calgary International Airport as part of the wind-down.
The group also reminds the public that land restrictions within the Controlled Access Zone (CAZ) and airspace limitations under the current NOTAM remain in effect. The Calgary airport tunnel also remains closed.
Further updates on the lifting of restrictions are expected later today.
