After a year away from the Portage Terriers bench, Robby Moar is coming back to assist Blake Spiller with the squad.
Moar outlines why he was absent from the bench this past season.
"I left this past year to do the U15, so I was around for every practice. I missed a dozen games, but it'll be fun to get right back on the bench and battle with the guys more in the game, so I'm very excited about that. It shouldn't be a huge adjustment. I know all the guys that will be returning and everything. It's just yeah, getting us to. Where we need to be. To. Eventually reach our goal of winning the league next year."
Moar also comments that he's excited to be working with the best the MJHL has to offer.
"Blake's been around forever. He's the most winning coach for a reason. It's exciting to get to learn from him every day and soak in all the knowledge that he's accumulated over his career. And I don't think there's a better spot that I could be in. So I'm just excited for it to get going."
Duties haven't yet been assigned for each assistant coach, but Moar adds that they will be decided when the right time comes.
