Five handmade quilts are now helping provide comfort to victims in the Cochrane area, thanks to a generous donation from Ellen DeBruyn.
The quilts were donated to the Southern Alberta Regional Victim Serving Society, with support from the Cochrane RCMP detachment.
More than just cozy coverings, the quilts offer a source of calm and reassurance for those going through court proceedings or receiving crisis support.

Officials say gestures like these go a long way in helping victims feel supported during some of the most difficult moments in their lives.
"Whether someone is navigating court proceedings or receiving crisis support, these gifts provide a quiet kind of strength that victims can carry with them." stated SARVSS in a post on Facebook.
