Kindersley Fire Department responded to three separate vehicle incidents on Highway 7 within a 24-hour span, including two crashes Thursday that sent people to hospital.

At 6:42 a.m. Thursday, crews were dispatched to a serious rollover involving multiple vehicles approximately 1.5 miles east of Marengo. One vehicle had rolled, and injuries were reported. Firefighters assisted RCMP and EMS with traffic control and disabled electrical systems on the damaged vehicle. All units were cleared by 8:43 a.m.

Just a few hours later, at 11:04 a.m., fire crews responded to another incident on Highway 7 at Range Road 3200, where a vehicle had crossed the centre line and struck an approach. One person was treated for injuries on scene by EMS, who transported the patient shortly after. Firefighters secured the scene and turned it over to RCMP before returning to the hall at 12:36 p.m.

The first of the three calls came late Wednesday night. At 11:09 p.m., Kindersley Fire was dispatched to a vehicle-deer collision on Highway 7 near Range Road 3211. No injuries were reported, and all personnel cleared the scene by 11:49 p.m.

With increased wildlife activity and changing visibility conditions at dawn and dusk, fire officials are urging drivers to remain cautious and alert on rural highways.
