Cochrane families have just a few days left to save on school transportation fees for the upcoming school year.
Rocky View Schools is encouraging parents and guardians to register by June 30 to receive a $40 discount. Registration must be completed by August 1 to guarantee bus service on the first day of school.
Eligible students include those in Kindergarten to Grade 6 who live 1.5 kilometres or more from their school, and students in Grades 7 to 12 who live at least two kilometres away.
Earlier this year, RVS updated its transportation fee structure. The standard fee for resident students is $395, while Kindergarten students who only require one-way service will pay $197.50. Students needing a second stop will be charged an additional $395 for that seat.
At least 50 per cent of the fee is required at the time of registration. Families may also apply for a Transportation Fee Waiver if eligible.

Each year, RVS transports approximately 13,500 students on over 300 routes—a number expected to grow in 2025-26 as enrolment continues to rise.
