Free Hot Dog Day is on!
That means free hot dogs are available in front of the Innovation Centre in downtown Swift Current until 1 p.m.
People can have one, two, or as many as they want, all for free.
Morgan Butler, general manager for Golden West Broadcasting and Homefield in Swift Current, says that even if the sky is cloudy, the conditions are actually perfect for the barbecue.
"We've cooked out here in other years where we've been blown away, baked under the sun, and rained on," Said Butler. "We can't complain. Hopefully after were done, it does rain a little bit."
Golden West has been hosting hot dog day as a soft launch for summer for years now. The reason it's been kept free even during soaring expenses for everything in life, is to show appreciation for the listener.
"We just appreciate our listeners so much," said Butler. "We feel like if we can do something for them, then we are happy to do that."
