Saturday's storms brought a tornado to just north of Cabri.

A small twister formed in a field just a short distance from the town. Environment and Climate Change Canada reported that it hit the ground at around 5 p.m. Video of the tornado, available by clicking here, was taken closer to 4:30 p.m. No reports of damage have been shared.

ECCC meteorologist Kyle McCaulay says it was a low-powered landspout tornado.

"It's pretty weak in that it just touches the surface of a cloud," said McCaulay.

It was formed by a low-pressure system that, in the lower atmosphere, generated a lot of spin.

Rainfall is expected to continue into Sunday and overnight.

Saturday, Swift Current received eight millimetres of rain.
