A former equipment manager of the Humboldt Broncos has added another championship to his résumé.
Ramandeep “Chico” Dhanjal was on the bench with the Abbotsford Canucks of the American Hockey League (AHL) as they claimed the Calder Cup defeating the Charlotte Checkers in a thrilling six-game series on Monday night.
Dhanjal originally joined Abbotsford in 2021. He began his career with the Broncos in 2004 and finished his run as a part of the 2008 Royal Bank Cup Championship squad.
Following his time in Humboldt, he moved up to the Prince George Cougars of the Western Hockey League (WHL), where he spent 13 seasons and was on the Cougars Bench for nearly 900 games.
