A new permanent fence will be installed this month along Jumping Pound Creek in Cochrane’s Bow Meadows area, as part of efforts to protect the local environment.
The Parks and Open Spaces team is replacing the existing temporary fence with a more durable post-and-rail design along the east berm of the creek. The goal is to safeguard the sensitive riparian zone, a vital area that supports vegetation essential for maintaining the berm’s stability.

Town officials are asking residents and visitors to respect the new fencing and follow all posted signage when enjoying the creek area.

“Together, we can help preserve this beautiful natural space for everyone to enjoy,” the Town said in a statement posted to social media.
