With a heat warning and hot weather in the forecast this week, Red Deer residents can look forward to cooling off at pop-up spray parks happening around the city.

Join Red Deer Emergency Services, RCMP and Municipal Enforcement to stay cool every Thursday throughout July and August.

Red Deer Emergency Services will transform fire engines into mobile spray parks, turning local green spaces into fun-filled water playgrounds.

Other community partners will be joining in with glitter tattoos, police cruiser tours and other family-friendly giveaways.

Please note:

  • Events are weather dependent. Follow The City of Red Deer on Instagram and Facebook for updates. Cancellations will be posted to stories on both platforms.

  • Because Emergency Services crews are on duty, Beat the Heat events may be delayed or end early if crews are called to respond. Updates will be shared on social media.

  • Washrooms are not available at all sites.

The first pop-up spray park of the summer takes place tomorrow, July 3, at Aspen Heights Elementary (5869 69 Street) from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

For the full schedule of pop-up spray park locations, visit the City of Red Deer’s website.
