Yesterday (July 5) at 9:55 a.m., Sylvan Lake RCMP received a report of a serious motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 766 and Highway 12.

Upon arrival, the two occupants of a GMC Sierra, 75-year-old male and 72-year-old male, both residents of Lacombe, were found deceased.

The two occupants of a Dodge truck, a 23-year-old male and 19-year-old male, both residents of Red Deer, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

RCMP remained on the scene for several hours conducting an investigation.

Police have since cleared the scene, and normal traffic flow has resumed.
