You’ve seen them in action with RCMP — now you can watch them up close.
The RCMP’s Police Dog Service Training Centre (PDSTC) is hosting a public demonstration this Wednesday, July 9, starting at 10 a.m. in Innisfail. The free event offers a look at the training and discipline of the canines — all of which are German Shepherds.
Gates open at 9 a.m., with the demonstration running outdoors, rain or shine. It will only be cancelled in the event of severe weather.
Attendees are welcome to bring food and drinks, as there will be none available on site.

Getting there:
Take Highway 2 to Exit 365 East at Innisfail. Follow the signs east to the PDSTC, located in Red Deer County.
This is the second of three public demos scheduled for 2025. The next one will take place on Aug. 13 at 10 a.m.
