A southwest man had matters in court this week for charges stemming from a series of incidents in June, which included a stolen truck, a break and enter, and a police chase that caused a grass fire.

Nekaneet First Nation's Donny Gurney was represented by legal aid in Swift Current Provincial Court on Wednesday morning.

His application for legal aid was only recently accepted, and the defence hasn't begun to dig into the disclosure yet.

The 28-year-old faces several charges;

One count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000,
One count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle,
One count of fleeing from a peace officer, and
One count of failure to comply with a probation order.

Gurney's matters were adjourned to Wednesday, July 16, in Swift Current, and he's set to appear by video.
