Local farmers were treated to a well-deserved break from the fields on July 9th from CFRY and Country 93, hosting their annual Farmer Appreciation Lunch at Island Park.
Held at the MNP Exhibition Building, the event ran from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and brought together farm families from across the region to celebrate their hard work, resilience, and vital role in the community.
Prizes and performances
In addition to the meal, prizes were handed out throughout the afternoon. Everything from tools and gear to gift cards and ag-themed giveaways were up for grabs.
Adding to the atmosphere, The Sean Taylor Band took the stage, filling the hall with high-energy country hits that had toes tapping and heads nodding.
The Farmer Appreciation Lunch continues to be a highlight of the summer calendar for many in the agricultural sector, and farmers say they’re already looking forward to next year.
