Carnduff RCMP have arrested two suspects connected with the theft of a vehicle from Alida earlier this month.

On July 6, Carnduff RCMP received a report of a vehicle in Alida that matched the description of a truck believed to be stolen from Weyburn.

When officers responded, they located the vehicle on 1st Street East in Alida with two individuals inside. Officers determined the vehicle was stolen and the driver was in breach of a release order. A 35-year-old male and a 38-year-old female were arrested at the scene.

Officers located stolen chequebooks and other stolen property while searching the vehicle.

As a result of the RCMP's investigation, 35-year-old Skylar Trobert from Griffin and 38-year-old Jade Loucks from Moose Jaw are each charged with:

  • One count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • One count, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • One count, break and enter
  • One count, possession of break-in instruments
  • One count, mischief over $5,000

Trobert faces an additional charge of one count of failure to comply with release order conditions in relation to the incident.

Trobert and Loucks last appeared in Estevan Provincial Court on July 7, 2025.

The investigation was conducted with the assistance of the Estevan RCMP and the Citizens on Patrol Program.
