It was a quieter week overall for Kyle RCMP members compared to their counterparts in Rosetown.
The first report of July came last Friday when Kyle RCMP assisted combined traffic services out of Saskatoon with tracking down an impaired driver near Harris. That report came in just after 10:00 PM on the fourth of July, no further information provided.
Fast forwarding to Wednesday this week Kyle members once again provided assistance for a call. The Department of Highways has been busy doing work in the area and requested some backup on Highway 4 near Elrose after issues with vehicles not following road signs and also passing the pilot vehicle.
They met up with a few Rosetown members to patrol the area as per the request, and as a result did end up issuing a few traffic violation tickets in the process.
Wednesday was the busiest day with the final two calls for the week coming in, the first coming in the afternoon as Kyle RCMP received a complaint of financial fraud out of Beechy. Later that evening, Kyle RCMP responded to a break and enter situation at a Rosetown business, though it was later deemed a false alarm.
Anyone with information on these or any other crimes around Kyle can contact the detachment at (306) 375-5510. People can also contact Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and submit a tip online.
