The Saskatchewan RCMP has released its latest list of wanted individuals in an effort to gather information that could help locate and arrest offenders considered to pose a risk to communities across the province.

The individuals named on the list all have active warrants and were last known to be living in Saskatchewan. They were selected based on a data-driven scoring system that uses the Crime Severity Index, a Statistics Canada tool that measures the number and seriousness of offences. Factors such as age, gender, race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, religion, sexuality or disability are not part of the scoring process.

The list, which is reviewed and updated monthly, is not a complete record of every person wanted by the Saskatchewan RCMP. Instead, it highlights offenders who present a higher risk to the public, with the aim of encouraging tips that may lead to arrests.

In the past month, four offenders who appeared on the list have been taken into custody. Jonathon Charles Desnomie was arrested by Vancouver police on July 5 and is awaiting transport back to Saskatchewan after a court appearance in British Columbia. Jonas Patrick Sewap was arrested by Deschambault Lake RCMP on July 1. In June, Shane Conrad Scott was arrested by Swift Current Rural RCMP and Frazer Stone was arrested by Battlefords RCMP.

Following a recent review, three more offenders have been added to the wanted list based on their updated Crime Severity Index scores.

The RCMP is asking anyone with information about the location or activities of these individuals to contact police immediately. People should not attempt to approach or apprehend wanted persons on their own. Information can be reported by calling 310-RCMP or 911 in an emergency.
