Adrian Paolinelli will become the new principal of Beacon Hill Elementary School in Sylvan Lake this September.
He joins Chinook’s Edge School Division from Alix MAC School, part of Wolf Creek Public Schools.
“It has been bittersweet for me as I am leaving the building and division that gave me my start as a leader,” said Paolinelli. “There are many friends and colleagues I am saying goodbye to, and these relationships are something I value greatly.”
Paolinelli said he is looking forward to the opportunity ahead.
“I’m excited to meet the students and community of Beacon Hill,” he said. “I look forward to building new relationships and partnerships with my staff and the community in Sylvan Lake.”
An Edmonton Oilers fan, Paolinelli enjoys watching his children play sports, golfing, and staying active.
“Being active is a huge part of my life and enjoying all the little moments in a day is what I am grateful for," he said.
His favourite quote comes from hockey legend Wayne Gretzky: “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”
“I love it because life is about opportunity, and we must embrace every moment as an opportunity. Every interaction and every moment is a chance to learn and gain knowledge,” he said.
