Great news! Missing man located

RCMP say a man reported missing following a single-vehicle crash south of Bragg Creek has been safely located.

Cochrane RCMP had been searching for 40-year-old Leo John Richard Gaspar, who was unaccounted for after a crash on Highway 66 around 12:30 p.m. on July 13.

A passing motorist told police they had been flagged down by the driver involved in the crash and went to call for help, but Gaspar was gone by the time officers arrived.

RCMP expressed concern for his well-being and issued a public appeal for information.

They confirmed today that Gaspar has since been found safe.
