The East Central 18U AAA Red Sox dropped both games on Sunday in a doubleheader against the Saskatoon Cubs. 

Saskatoon dominated the first game with an 11-3 win.  

The Cubs opened the scoring, scoring a pair in the first inning, before adding five more in the second inning.  

The Red Sox replied with two runs in the third inning, but the Cubs answered right back with two more runs.  East Central scored one run in the fifth, before Saskatoon finished with two runs in the bottom of the sixth.  

Jarrett Rude and Jaxon Schleper each had two hits for the Red Sox.  

In the second game, it was closer as the Cubs edged the Red Sox 6-5.  

Saskatoon built up a five-run lead heading into the seventh inning. But the Red Sox battled back, scoring five runs to tie the game. 

The Cubs were able to walk it off in the bottom of the inning, with an RBI single.  

Cade Britz led the way at the plate with a pair of hits.  

East Central’s record is now 19-13 this year. They’re back in action on Tuesday, as they head to Unity to meet the North West Sun Devils.
