Jeffery Proteau’s trial was originally set for July 29 but was rescheduled to Nov. 25 and Dec. 2 after he was accepted into in-treatment care. Proteau faces several charges, including possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes, careless use of a firearm and theft of a motor vehicle.

In other Kindersley court matters heard on July 15, Ryan Kwasnycia pleaded not guilty to two counts of operation while impaired. His trial is set for Oct. 21.

Nolan Gavelin pleaded guilty to one count of operating a vehicle while prohibited and to a ticket for possession of cannabis over the legal limit. Gavelin was fined a total of $1,010.

Another eleven matters were adjourned to dates throughout July and August.
