A 30-year-old woman was arrested and charged while a 17-year-old boy remains at large following an alleged shooting.

Moose Jaw Police Service officers were dispatched to the North Service Road on Monday at 9:12 a.m. for a weapon-related call. The initial investigation alleges a youth male suspect shot the victim and fled the scene in a vehicle.

Police say the male victim suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to hospital with serious injuries. According to police, the two individuals were known to each other.

Additional investigation identified Meagan Windover, 30, as a second suspect in the alleged shooting.

Windover was found by police at the Lakeview Trailer Court on Tuesday and an arrest warrant was executed. She was arrested with the assistance of the Moose Jaw Police Service crisis negotiators, tactical response team and the community policing division.

Windover has been charged with attempted murder and several firearms-related charges. She will make her first appearance in Moose Jaw Provincial Court at a later date.

The 17-year-old youth remains at large. The incident is currently under investigation by police.
