The City of Red Deer is inviting local not-for-profit arts and culture organizations to attend upcoming information sessions on the 2026–2028 Community Culture Development Fund (CCDF) grant cycle.
The sessions are designed to walk applicants through recent updates to the program ahead of the August 18 application opening.
Participants will learn about what’s new this cycle, including eligibility changes, revised project criteria, and updated evaluation standards aimed at improving transparency and fairness.
Three sessions are planned:
In-Person (Mosaic Room – Culture Services, 5205 48 Ave):

Tuesday, July 22, 7–8 p.m.

Virtual Session:

Monday, September 22, 7–8 p.m.
Key updates for 2026–2028 include:

The Development stream now supports three-year projects only, ensuring full allocation of resources.

The Opportunities stream has been expanded to include emerging cultural projects and events, such as pilot initiatives or one-time creative programming.

Revised expense eligibility, project criteria, and evaluation standards to enhance clarity and support for applicants.
Both new and returning applicants are encouraged to attend. Sessions will offer step-by-step guidance, application tips, and a chance to ask questions.
Free downtown parking is available after 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, and light refreshments will be provided at in-person events.
