A new residential development is officially underway in Olds.
The six-storey, 92-unit rental building, located on 65 Avenue near local shopping, dining and services, will offer residents more affordable housing options.
The project will include pet-friendly apartments, with studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units available and is expected to be complete by the summer of 2026.
The new development comes as the Town continues to respond to growing housing pressures.
Recent survey results from residents across Olds and the region pointed to an urgent need for more diverse and attainable rental options.
“We are thrilled about this development and what it will offer to Olds,” said Mayor Judy Dahl.
“The community has been asking for more choice and affordability in housing, and this delivers. It is also pet-friendly, which we know is important to many.”
The project meets all local requirements for parking, traffic flow and development standards.
Infrastructure assessments have confirmed the Town is well equipped to support this growth.
Its location near existing retail and services is expected to benefit nearby businesses and support continued revitalization in the area.
The Town of Olds welcomes this investment as part of its commitment to meeting housing demand and ensuring residents have access to high-quality rental living.
