Sonic open provincials with a win over Wolverines

A dominant start to U17 B softball provincials for the Swift Current Sonic.

Serena Kochan went 2 for 2 with 2 runs and 2 RBIs in an 11-1 win over the Moose Jaw Wolverines this morning.

Anaiah Stechyshyn also went 2 for 2 with 3 runs scored and an RBI, while Surrey Lamotte went 2 for 3 with a run scored and 2 RBIs.

Kyra Strutt allowed only a run on 3 hits in 3 innings of work.

Bree Pavely threw a perfect inning to close out the game.

Swift Current then shut down the Regina Royals Roadrunners 9-0 this afternoon.

They play the Saskatoon Selects Storm tomorrow morning.
