The championship podium had a southern feel at the Saskatchewan Amateur Golf Championships at the Humboldt Golf Club (HGC).
Corey Bailey of Swift Current claimed the 2025 Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship.
Bailey opened with an 8-under 64, followed by a 1-under 71 before shooting a 2-over 74 in the final round to claim the championship.
Humboldt’s Paul Raycroft was in contention heading into the final round. He shot a 2-under 70 in the opening round, before catching fire in the second round with an 8-under 64. In his final round Raycroft shot a 5-over 77.
Chloe Wills of Kyle won the 2025 Amateur Women’s champion by one stroke over Ella Kozak of Yorkton.
Wills best round was on Tuesday, when she shot a 2-under 70. Wills followed that up with a 2-over 74 and even-par 72 on the final day. After trailing by four strokes after the opening round, Kozak cut the deficit down to two on Wednesday with an even-par 72. On Thursday, the Yorkton product shot a one-under 71 which wasn’t enough to beat Wills.

Charmaine Hayden of Winnipeg won the Mid-Amateur Women’s Championship after finishing third in the Amateur Championship. Her total after three rounds was 10-over pair, with rounds of 5-over 77, 4-over 76 and 2-over 74.

On Friday, Luke Cote of the Royal Regina Golf Club won the Men’s Amateur Championship, beating Bailey by two strokes.
Bailey was ahead by four strokes after the first two rounds, but Cote jumped ahead to a five-stroke lead after he fired a 7-under 65 while Bailey shot a 2-over 74. Despite shooting a one-over 73 in the final round, Cote held off Bailey who shot a 2-under 70 on Friday.
Cote, Bailey and Ryan Mosher of Saskatoon who finished in third place will head to Ottawa to compete at the Canadian Men’s Amateur Championships at the Royal Ottawa Golf Club.
