11U Humboldt Dodgers win Provincial Championship on home turf

The 11U Humboldt Dodgers turned hometown pride into championship gold, claiming the 11U AA Tier 1 Provincial Championship at Centennial Park on Sunday. 

In the Gold Medal Game, the Dodgers beat the White Butte Broncos 9-7.  

During the round-robin, Humboldt had a 2-1 record. On Friday, they beat the Saskatoon Jr Braves 19-10. 

The Dodgers split their two games on Saturday, beginning with an 11-9 win over the Weyburn Beavers. In their second game of the day, they dropped a 13-3 decision against the Battlefords Beavers.  

On Sunday morning, the Dodgers were able to avenge their loss on Saturday as they beat the Beavers 8-2.
