A man who was scheduled to stand trial in Kindersley Court on Monday has instead pleaded guilty after Crown and defence reached a plea agreement.
Ryan Halter pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while prohibited, stemming from a previous driving prohibition imposed by the same court in July 2023.
Halter received a 12-month conditional sentence order, which includes a mandatory curfew and a requirement to undergo treatment at a drug rehabilitation facility, either in- or out-patient. He was also prohibited from driving for three years and ordered to pay a $100 surcharge.
Meanwhile, the case for Buchacher has been adjourned for a week as the court works to set possible trial dates. Buchacher faces charges of fraud and failing to attend court.
Other matters, including the Wilson and Zale cases, were got adjournment dates of July 29 and Aug. 5.
