The Marysburg Royals suffered their third straight loss as they were defeated by the Saskatoon Outlaws 7-3 on Monday night.

After going scoreless through the first three innings, the Royals opened the scoring in the top of the fourth inning with an RBI double from Joel Bauml. Curtis Strueby followed that with an RBI single.

The Outlaws answered back in a big way as they replied with six runs in the bottom of the fourth.

Both teams added a late run to make the final 7-3.

Despite the three losses, the Royals have a three-game lead in Saskatoon Senior Baseball League over the Hoppers.

Next action for Marysburg is Monday, when they travel to the Bridge City to meet the River Pirates.

The game will also serve as a tune-up for the Royals as they get set for Provincials in Saskatoon next weekend, August 1-3.
