The Weyburn Beavers silenced the Swift Current 57s bats Wednesday night while flexing their offensive muscle in a lopsided victory at Mitchell Field for Fill the Park Night.

Beavers left fielder Ryan Muizelaar went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBIs in the 11-0 Weyburn win. First baseman Brayden Mayencourt went 3-for-4 at the plate with a home run and three RBIs.

The 57s allowed at least a run in six of the nine innings to the Beavers, and only accumulated six hits in the loss, with Trigg Mapes collecting a third of them, going 2-for-3.

Owen McConnell pitched eight scoreless innings and fired five strikeouts for Weyburn, picking up his third win of the season.

The 57s announced a crowd of 236 people in attendance for the Fill the Park Night.

Swift Current opens a home-and-home series with the Saskatoon Berries on Thursday night on the road, looking to avenge their 11-4 loss at home on Tuesday night.
