Quick-thinking tips led to the arrest of two adults from Mînî Thnî, who now face multiple charges after allegedly spray painting buildings in Cochrane on July 23.
Just before 2 p.m., police responded to reports of two people vandalizing doors and walls. A witness provided a description, and a second caller reported damage to an adjacent building.

Officers found the suspects near the library, their clothing stained with paint matching the vandalized properties. Investigators also determined the spray paint cans were stolen from a nearby business.
The pair face charges including two counts of mischief $5,000, one count of mischief over $5,000, and one count of theft under $5,000. Names are withheld pending formal charges. They were released with conditions and will appear in Cochrane court on Sept. 16.
"Cochrane RCMP would like to thank community members for their detailed information and timely reports," states RCMP media contact Cst. Melanie McIntosh in a news release. "Their vigilance played an integral role in quickly locating and arresting these two offenders."
