Dangerous person alert results in attempted murder charges

The Saskatchewan RCMP have laid charges as a result of a shooting incident that took place on Muskowekwan First Nation on July 24 that triggered a dangerous person alert. 

The incident resulted in a Saskatchewan RCMP officer being shot and injured. 

Elijah Albert, 28, of Muskowekwan First Nation has been charged with attempted murder with a firearm, discharging a firearm with intent, uttering threats, and pointing a firearm. 

Albert is scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court on July 30.
