Sylvan Lake residents warned about parking ticket scam

Sylvan Lake residents are receiving scam text messages saying that they owe a fine payment. The Town of Sylvan Lake does not use text messages for communication about fines or fine payments.

If you have received the scam message:

• Never click links in a text message
• Never give payment of any kind to a text message request

Other scams

• Text message scams are not the only kind of scams that Lakers may receive 
• Always confirm ANY text message, phone call, or email is actually from the Town of Sylvan Lake
  • Don't click, call first
  • Confirm by calling the Town of Sylvan Lake directly: 403 887 2141
