The Swift Current and District Chamber of Commerce provided a unique networking opportunity on Friday.
The fourth annual Chamber Challenge Golf Tournament saw teams of 4 golfers competing in a Texas scramble style game at the Chinook Golf Course.
“We do a golf tournament because it's a laid back way for our member businesses and the business community to get together and visit and network and all of the fun things that come with the tournament.” said Heidi Deg, executive assistant with the Swift Current and District Chamber of Commerce.
Sponsors for this year's tournament included Footworks Advanced Footcare, Plewis Automotive Group, W.W. Smith Insurance, Len's Plumbing and Heating, Living Sky Casino, and Low Cost Towing, among many others.
This year’s 50/50 raffle was in support of the SPCA Swift Current.
Additionally, many local businesses contributed prizes for a raffle draw.
“100 per cent of the proceeds from both the raffle and 50/50 will be put towards the SPCA's new building as well as the animals that are already in their care.” Deg said.
Deg also said that they're already hard at work planning next year’s event.
