Car enthusiasts showed up rain or shine for the third annual Show N’ Shine honouring Danny Berg. Josiah Warkentin and Mackenzie Loewen have taken the lead in organizing this yearly event, as they were close to Berg, who passed away suddenly in a tragic workplace accident in 2023.
The event is held to remember Berg alongside his love for cars. “He just had a love for community and cars,” shared Warkentin. The event grew from Berg’s love for “...getting people together and just talking and learning their stories and seeing where they’re from and what they’re up to.”

The Show n’ Shine hands out various awards for the vehicles entered, but there is one that stands out: The Danny Berg award, handed out to the vehicle Berg would have appreciated most. “It’s the car that Danny would have absolutely loved that year,” Warkentin added, “It’s a sentimental award, really, but it’s the one that spearheads the show.”
