Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada (WSWC) is set to induct Innisfail native Jaret Llewellyn into the WSWC Hall of Fame on Wednesday, August 6.

The ceremony will take place at Shalom Park in Edmonton, following the conclusion of that day's events at the 2025 Canadian Water Ski Championships.

Llewellyn’s extraordinary career spans nearly three decades and includes a long list of national and international accolades.

He was inducted into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame in 1994 after a string of historic achievements, including becoming Junior Worlds Overall Champion at just 14.

Over the years, Llewellyn has amassed:

  • 117 Pro Tour victories

  • 11 world records

  • 9 world championship titles

  • 10 Pan Am Games medals

He also holds 26 Pan Am Championship medals, including 22 golds, and claimed five World Cup jump titles.

He set 14 Canadian records, won 20 national titles, and was a key contributor to Canada’s World Championship team gold wins in 1991 and 1993.

In 1992, Llewellyn set a world jump record at 207 feet and won back-to-back U.S. Masters Overall Champion titles in 1992 and 1993.

At the 2003 Pan Am Games in Santo Domingo, he served as Canada’s flag bearer during the Opening Ceremony, a moment that underscored his stature as a national sporting icon.

Llewellyn began skiing at age six, entered competition by nine, and was representing Canada on the world stage by 14 and turned professional at 18.

He is also the co-founder of World Water Skiers (WWS), a non-profit dedicated to uniting the global water-skiing community.

Since 2021, he has led the WWS Overall Tour, a series aimed at growing the sport’s reach and athlete connections worldwide.

His upcoming induction marks not only a celebration of athletic excellence but a tribute to one of water skiing’s most influential figures.
