The Portage Terriers organization is warming up for another season with events, and a few things remain ongoing before the exhibition season starts.
Cody Buhler, the team's Marketing Director, emphasizes that there are a few changes and extra deals on tickets through a kids club membership.
"We're offering a family pack, and we really want to encourage families to come to Terrier games this winter. And so Kids' Club memberships are $40 each. They're brought to you by The Screen Door and Mr. Mikes. We've had some great partners come on board again this year. So, you get discounts for kids at Mr. Mike's during the year, every kid receives a t-shirt from The Screen Door," he continues. "Also, this year, if you buy a kids club pass for $40, you can buy a flex pack of 10 tickets for an additional $100. So, a family pack for 140. It's a great way to get out to a bunch of games this winter at a really good price; $10 a ticket for that flex pack. That's the best price you can get."
Buhler confirms that while the early bird deadline has passed, you can still pick up season tickets as well, which hold certain benefits for them.
"That's your seat for the year. You get into all of the exhibition games, the regular season, it's brought to you by Boston Pizza, so you get some discounts at BP's here in Portage la Prairie. And then, during the playoffs, you get first access to purchase that seat for the playoffs, and so it's really a great way to support the team. We really appreciate all of our season ticket holders, and we have a few other perks that we usually provide during the season as well."
With a month to go until the exhibition season begins, Buhler adds that it's not just tickets and the kids' club that are gaining some attention. The team itself is starting to see some changes as well.
"I was chatting with Blake the other day. He's been starting to make some moves, bringing some players in. Some of those moves will be posted up as we go through this week and as kind of I get back at it after a bit of a break and some holiday time. And so now as we kind of ramp up through August, there will be a lot more different posts and things going on. So make sure to follow us on all of our social media, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook check out our website portageterriers.com and stay in the loop with what we've got going on."
Two trades have been announced by the team so far, bringing in a defenceman from the East and West side of the country.
🚨TRADE ALERT🚨 The Terriers have traded future considerations to the Kamloops Storm (KIJHL) for D Kieran Thibault (07) and a player development fee to the St. Jerome Panthers (QJHL) for D Noah Therrien (05).
