The Saskatoon Senior Baseball League (SSBL) announced the league leaders for the 2025 regular season, with the Marysburg Royals well represented.  

It was a clean Royals sweep for the leaders in batting average, with Cole Bauml finishing on top with .516 average, followed by Nick Anderson at .500 and Tom Hooker with a .478 average.  

For RBI (runs batted in) leader, it was once again Bauml, Anderson and Hooker finishing on top. Bauml had 25, followed by Anderson with 24 and Hooker at 14.  

The Royal trio also led the league in hits, Bauml with 32, Anderson had 26 and Hooker finished with 22.  

For on base percentage, Bauml finished .569, Anderson with .556 and Hooker with .544. Curtis Strueby was fourth with .533. 

Bauml was the lone player in the SSBL to finish the year with multiple home runs, as he ended the regular season with 3.  

On the mound, the Royals Thomas Lessmeister finished fourth in ERA (earned runs against) with a 2.01. 

Lessmeister led the SSBL in wins with 5 and led in WHIP (walks hits innings pitched) 0.94.

The SSBL said on Wednesday that the league playoffs will begin next week to determine the league champions.
